The Great Escapees
As my older brother had constantly held the idea of law enforcement as his future career during my childhood, conversations about crime and justice always commenced in my house. Now, he is an Arkansas State Trooper and the law is still spoken about when he comes back home.
Because of him, I have always had this incredible interest in what is going on in the "criminal world" of Arkansas. Usually, its stories about men committing crimes and the aftermath - arrested then locked up. It was to my surprise when I checked the public records that there are wanted fugitives in Arkansas. Here are the three men that have escaped from the law in Arkansas.
HUGO CAMPAGNE
Not much is given on Hugo's escape. On March 3rd, 2001, the fugitive was let out of the Texarkana Correction Center for a work release but failed to return. He was serving time for possession of controlled substances.
He is a tall, heavy set individual with a height of 6'2 and weight of 245lbs.
He has a set of praying hand tattoos on his chest.
He is 52 years old.
GENE THOMAS
On July 5th, 1988, Gene Thomas escaped from prison. The arkansas.gov website does not give any information as to how he escaped or what prison he escaped from. He was convicted for Theft of Property.
He is 58 years old, medium height at 5'8, and weighing in at 153lbs.
VEAL LEE
On July 15, 1984, Veal Lee escaped from prison. Like Gene Thomas, nothing is given on where Lee escaped from or his means of escape. He was imprisoned with the charge of Theft By Receiving.
Lee stands at 5'5 and weighs 147 lbs. He is 69 years of age.
